What are the basic speech to text commands?

I know how to turn on dictation but I don't know what the basic commands are. Is there somewhere I can find the basic commands? I know I can use 'period' and 'new line' but I don't know any other basic commands. I am currently recovering from shoulder surgery and I can only use one hand to type so I thought this might be a better option. By the way I've used dictation to type most of this question. I am using Mavericks on an iMac. I think this is a wonderful tool.
