Q: Calendar not working after El Capitan update

Updated to latest OS on desktop now my calendar is not syncing.  I have tried steps outlined on apple website.  My iOS devices are having no problems.

iMac (27-inch, Late 2013), OS X El Capitan (10.11.1)

I had the same problem, even after the first update to El Capitan.  I solved it by opening System Preferences, selecting iCloud and signing out of iCloud in the resulting open window.  There will be dialogue boxes opening to warn you that various items from iCloud will be deleted from your computer, but don't worry as they will still be in the cloud - go ahead and select the Delete From Mac button(s).

When they have all been deleted and you are signed out of iCloud, restart your computer.  Open iCloud again from System Preferences and sign back in.  You will be asked to verify your login request and in my case I verified it from an iPhone.

    Problem solved.
