Does my macbook 5,1 support 802.11n? bought airport express a1392

How do I know if it supports that standard? do I need to do some sort of upgrade?

Running el capitan, has already made it?

system software says : PHY supported: 802.11 a/b/g/n, but apple site specifications of macbook 5,1 says only a/b/g…

bought airport express a1392, but audio signals is intermittent very often, even with router WMM enabled. Have to say my router is only g and b.

So if I buy a 802.11n router will my mac support that? and more important does n solve airplay problem? Isn't g/b enough to stream music?

Thanks.

MacBook, OS X El Capitan (10.11.1), 8GB - 2Ghz duo
