Where is Security Update 2015-007 for Yosemite 10.10.5?

That was from 6-15hrs Greenwich time.

It should be in Appstore->Updates unless you download and install automatically, then it should be under installed. Or you installed the 10.10.1 update in which it is included.

The App Store also gave me the same notice that there was a server problem, and then the icon in Dock

bounced to get my attention because I was using a browser over the top of the App Store. Later, trying

the Store again, it keeps looking "checking for Updates" then goes to the warning, and Store icon bounce.

So perhaps something is being updated in the content there?

Or many people are trying to download large files today.

(The same effect is happening for me with OS X 10.9.5; so

maybe a general issue is involved across several versions.)

I'd held off on updates because of issues. Some older updates for existing (as shipped OS X) have not

been applied because they reduced the viability of the original applications; so I'm waiting for better.

If I were a windoze fan, I probably wouldn't have bought a new-old-stock clearance Late 2012 Mini QC

server model with upgrade potential. A cheap clone box would run W-10... maybe that's their new X? 😉

PS: still bouncing and looking, the App Store is ever hopeful while retrieving nothing. Maybe just as well.

I am sorry, the 10.10.1 is a typo. I meant 10.11.1. But now I understand that you have the latest Yosemite.

The security update should be in Appstore. Either available or done.

Unless you did a Yosemite install today or late last night from the Recovery Partition (which would be a rare coincidence).

the 6-15 was the server problem time. mandy_s said it was over about 17:00.

This error and message is a recent, still happening situation here.

Just as it was at the time of my other most recent post above.

Not certain if it is related to anything happening at Apple Servers

but did see some cryptic Console log that implies a relationship.

Same message, repeated several times in relation to multiple attempts to re-try App Store

in my Late 2012 Mini 2.3GHz quad-core i7 running Mavericks OS X 10.9.5, today. If the

issue had been the Server and that supposedly was fixed, was the time coordinate universal

time, or what zone exactly? The local time here, (AKDT) is 12:40 PM, as reference.

Anyway, I'm wondering if there isn't an issue with the older OS X and its updates. And later

after an EFI update, if that would affect the ability to run or use the older OS X; as I'd hoped

to partition an internal HDD and have the later OS X installed without upgrading the 10.9.5.

In any event...

Hopefully the issue with Server error message is resolved on the Apple end! 😐

About five hours ago, a newer version of the larger EFI and Security Updates was offered in App Store;

this after a period of no update/upgrades at all. So they were likely in the process of replacing those...

Mac EFI Security Update 2015-002 1.0 + Security Update 2015-007 1.0 : both are update versions.

And appear to be corrected, in this instance for use where applicable in Mavericks 10.9.5, & newer.

So the issue with the App Store has been resolved from the supply side; except for

a matter of some user problems, from applying the updates in their configurations.

How does one tell or where do I look to see the size of these files?

Given slower internet speeds & ceilings, it'd be handy to know....😝

Perhaps the matter is hidden within the content of the larger file/name, as indicated by this 'about' article,

and the name vaguely implies two parts; Security Update 2015-007 blurs distinction through three OS X:

Reading through this article suggests the correct update will follow to whichever OS X version is installed.

So your App Store may or may not indicate (for OS X past Mavericks 10.9.5) the exact version number it

has available for your specific configuration. But it may have other identifier available, before you install it.

(While I'm considering Yosemite as a bridge OS X since my Mac has indications of not working well in El Cap

the item is not available per OS X upgrade downloads; & pages for standalone downloads have gone missing.)

Could be you'll have to wait and see, there may be some other thing to try & do, though.

When my issue occurred, (which really isn't resolved since I did not update anything) I

went as far as restarting in Safe mode, repaired Disk Permissions and Repaired Disk,

then restarted normally; and I did not get the pop-up notice of new software update...

No repeat notice in Console logs occurred, such as the one I'd posted in above reply

to Lex, though it had repeated each time I'd previously visited App Store, & got Error.

Then I went into App Store via System Preferences; it said there were updates available.

And I launched App Store from there to see if the busy wheel and Error notice would re-

appear as they had before. No odd events happened. It was later on when I checked to

see what if anything had changed (hours went by) and the App Store showed 1.0 version

updates of those two items. But I still haven't updated or upgraded...

Not sure what to say.

Except I have a few older working Macs that I still rely on. Only one can be upgraded to

a later OS X: my 1st Edition MacBook core-duo, can upgrade to Snow Leopard 10.6.8.

The current OS X in there is 10.5.8; same as my last model G4 Mini 1.5.

The newest Mac is this quad-core Late 2012 Mini i7, first run in January 2015 w/ 10.9.

I, too, am on OS 10.10.5. I did not get the error message but I had the same question when the App Store showed security update 2015-004 not 2015-007. I found the release history for OS X Mavericks with a matching Security Update 2015-007 released Oct 21, 2015. The release history for OS X Yosemite only shows two standalone security updates 2015-002 and 2015-003 prior to October 21, 2015. My install history lists security update 2015-003 and OS 10.10.5 update but nothing after. So, it seems that security update 2015-004 is the latest standalone update for OS X Yosemite. (Some security updates were embedded in OS Yosemite updates versus standalone updates for Mavericks, Mountain Lion, and Lion.)
