Your 2015 iMac will create a USB installer (if necessary) on a USB2 flash drive using a Windows ISO. Do you see an OSXRESERVED partition during your installation attempts?

You may looked at this already but please see How to install Windows using Boot Camp - Apple Support .

At what stage does the problem occur? Black screen when Windows boots up, BCA cannot create USB, etc... ?

Doesn't even get that far, also doesn't seem to install the windows support software. It has created the bootcamp partition which has nothing on it, when it re-started it had a prohibited symbol and wouldn't do anything. Tried restarting and pressing option but it does give me any options other than macintosh hd. Am going to try a difference USB
