Q: iCloud Storage issues, showing no reason for why my icloud storage is full.

I recently got a notification on my iPhone that I only have about 788 MB of space left of the 5 GB quota. So I did a bit of checking in phone and on iCloud settings. The iCloud app for Windows shows that I have apparently used about 4 GB for backup(that I didn't make) also I am unable to delete any backup at all.

Then on my iPhone, when I checked the storage, there was no such usage described in the detailed view. This is utterly confusing and disappointing. I am pretty sure I didn't set up any backup, and also photo stream as well as auto backup are turned off. A little help please!

Anyone has any kind of solution/explanation for it!

    I have the same problem.

I upgraded my iCloud capacity thinking I could backup both my wife's and my devices to the same iCloud account.  When I found out that won't work I realized that I was paying for nothing, so I downgraded back to the original 5 GB of storage.  But now I see 8.31 of 'backups' that I can't find anywhere and no way to delete them.

It looks like if I continue with the downgrade the few apps that I use for iCloud storage may stop working.  I guess I have no choice but to pay $0.99 a month?

I too have the same issue. I went through storage management on each of my iOS devices in turn, deleting and then disabling backups; however, iCloud (via System Preferences on my Mac) claims that I only have 171MB of storage remaining and that 4.64GB is currently being used for (some seemingly phantom) backups. Most frustrating as there doesn't seem to be any way to recover this space. I'm hoping that this is an iOS bug that will be resolved soon – ever since updating to iOS 9 I've been experiencing issues with backing-up my devices but this is the first I've been completely unable to resolve.
