Q: how do i remove deleted apps from the purchased section in the app store?

every app i have downloaded since the beginning of time is still listed under purchased in the app store app on my ipad mini. Is there anyway to delete these? i know that there is an option to select "on this ipad" but I want the clutter gone. i know tee is the option to hide them as well but that is just worthless as they return as soon as the app is closed. short of resetting my ipad can i do anything? if not is there anyway to rearrange them or sort them alphabettically or by genre?

You cannot delete/remove the apps displayed in Purchased. There used to be a way to hide them from being displayed on the device but that was broken for awhile (don't know if it still is).

You cannot actually delete them, only hide them. And to do that you have to use iTunes as the feature in iOS does not work. See Hide and unhide purchases in iTunes or iBooks on your Mac or PC - Apple Support
