Hi Vincente,

I fixed that problem in this way: coming back to Yosemite . If you visit the yamaha website, you can find a pdf dated Octobe 01.2015 which speaks about compatibility. It says the situation is under testing. I don't know how much time it will necessary to solve the problem, so I preferred to come back to Yosemite using backup files.

It still doesn't work, but I was able to load StudioManager by doing the following :

I copied the missing files (as reported by the crash reporter) and renamed them so that they match. I took them from the lib folder that is created in /Applications/Yahama/StudioManager/lib and I pasted them in /usr/lib/.

For example, I copied libsmh-qtoptserver.1.0.0.dylib into /usr/lib and I renamed it libsmh-qtoptserver.1.dylib. Same with libsmh-qt-mt.3.dylib.

I also had to rename the LS9 library to libls9-qt-mt.3.dylib for it to load.

Now, StudioManager loads, but the Re-Synchronize button is always greyed out in the editor.

Before doing that, I disabled system integrity protection by doing "csrutil disable" in single user mode (reboot holding command-R). Not sure if it is necessary.

The issue appears to be El Capitan's new System Integrity Protection which prevents writes to /usr/lib (as well as other directories) unless the installer is signed by Apple. I was able to get Studio Manager and the M7 and LS9 editors to run by disabling SIP and reinstalling. I then ran Studio Manager, then reenabled SIP.

I did NOT need to copy library files or rename them so it appears the Studio Manager or SM itself does the necessary copies that are required (when SIP is disabled).

I no longer have an M7 or LS9 to see if it actually controls the console. Maybe someone else can test this.

Read about disabling/enabling SIP here:

I confirmed today that Studio Manager does work when installed using my procedure above, at least with the M7.

Remember to configure the DME-N control panel (System Prefs) first BEFORE launching Studio Manager.

Then in Studio Manager Preferences, select the MIDI ports you want to use in your workspace (you can run multiple editors even of the same model, but I've found you should only enable the ports you intend to use since Studio Manager takes over the ports and prevents other instances (including the iPad) from using those ports.

Finally, select the input and output ports under File/System Setup in the console's Editor.
