OS X El Capitan vs. Syncmate???

I posted a question a week or so back regarding an issue with my Mac. Specifically, I was having start-up issues and needed some help. I eventually decided to go back to OS X Maverick and the problem was solved.

I received an email from Eltima Software today addressing non-compatiblilty concerns with their Syncmate software and OS X El Capitan. (Here is the link included in the email - http://blog.eltima.com/2015/10/critical-issues-with-syncmate-4-on-el-capitan-os- x-10-11.html)

Has anyone else had this problem and did the software update suggested by Eltima work?
