mac messages help!

my mac (el capitan 10.11.1) will always load all of the messages i sent/received from my iphone during the time my mac was last used. it makes my mac slow much slower until it is caught up just wondering if there is any way to stop mac from loading these messages without turning messages completely off.

Unless you sign out of iMessage on your Mac, I don't believe there is any way to stop this.

You can stop the notifications for Messages in System Preferences if you are bothered by the sounds//pop ups while the Messages are coming in though.

System Preferences-> Notifications->Messages . Adjust Message Alert style to None.

Hi,


If you turn the Mac on an off then Jazcan has it.


If you are able leaving the computer on is another option - it will only update the SMS ones when the iPhone is near again.
