Q: If I'm sharing an Apple ID with someone, am I able to change the Apple ID on my phone without it changing on theirs? If so how? PLEASE HELP

If I'm sharing an Apple ID with someone can I change the Apple ID on my phone without it being changed on their device too???

iPhone 6, iOS 9.1, I just updated to the newest iOS 9

I see that you're wondering if the Apple ID will change on someone else's device if you change the Apple ID account you're using.  In short, no.  If you log in to a different Apple ID on your device, that will not change what is logged in on another device.   I would like to mention that sharing an Apple ID isn't recommended:

You shouldn't share your Apple ID with anyone else. It provides access to personal information including contacts, photos, device backups, and more. Sharing your Apple ID with someone else means you're giving them access to all your personal content, and it may lead to confusion about who actually owns the account. 

To share photos, a calendar, iTunes purchases and more with someone else, try these sharing features.

    The solution is simple...don't share Apple IDs.  Use Family Sharing instead:  Family Sharing - Apple Support

    Thank you so much! Do you know how I am able to change my Apple ID without having it changed on the other device? What do I have to do in settings?

    you just go to the apple id section in the system preferences and click change apple id. then you simply change it

    If you're sharing the ID..which you shouldn't be doing...then you can't change it without having to re-enter it on all devices.
