The shame of all this is, I can stay on 9.0.2 as long as I need to, but when the day comes I need to replace one of my family's iPhones or iPads and the problem is not fixed, I might as well go to a Samsung or LG (if the choice is that or starting over with a new Apple ID).
I'm starting to feel the same way with OS X. As I work with Windows all day, there really isn't that much of a difference anymore and when it's time to replace my MacBook, I'm going to seriously look at Windows machines.
I hate that it's come to this, but it's almost like Apple just doesn't care anymore. Things no longer "just work."
I Had to get an Android phone due to other issues or related to the issues posted here, and I can honestly say I'd much rather use my iPhone with all of the problems everyone's posted here instead of Android. The Apple Music app for Android (that is in Beta) does not show any of my music, either (local or in the cloud). If you like Android & Windows, use 'em. The reason I got my Mac 11 years ago was because I was tired of Windows breaking for what seems like no reason at all. And after using Android briefly, I would just rather keep using my iPhone in this broken state.
I've been working with some iTunes techs on these issues and they did tell me yesterday that I am indeed not alone, and that he had just got off the phone with someone else having the exact same problem. They're working on my account issues now. Hopefully they can figure this all out soon. And from my past experiences with Apple Support, I at least feel like they genuinely are working to fix this and help everyone. You're just not going to get that kind of support from Microsoft & Google.

ME too I don't want to go to Android
I know! iOS is just miles ahead of Android IMO. The Nexus 6 I got for work is actually a really nice phone! But, well, it's still running Android...
I'm wondering what the common denominator is in all of this. I've been told that Apple Music and iTunes Match just don't play nice together at all. I (iPhone 6S) have both and have Family Sharing setup with one other iPhone 6+. I've noticed here and in other posts that's been the similarity.
I have been hearing some positive "hmmm" 's and "oh, wait- ahhhh" 's while working with Apple, which is encouraging. But still, the problems remain after 3+ weeks. I'm hopeful, but I noticed one person commented saying they've had issues like this for quite a while. I've been replying to the Apple tech's email with any new/different findings along the way. I keep hoping one of these emails or screenshots will be the one thing they need to see. Clearly something with 9.1, but still.. Sometimes there's an easy fix, and sometimes there just isn't. I've invested too much Time & $$$ in Apple's ecosystem to switch to Android, even if I wanted to.

Nov 16, 2015 4:43 PM in response to Drashad86by ktorster,Just got off the phone with a senior engineer over at Apple (they called me).
Gave her all the details, and she says they are aware of this and the other thread.
She is speculating it might have something to do with 2-factor authentication. She was showing that I have it turned on, even though I don't. It actually makes sense if it's looking for something that doesn't exist.
We will be testing further tomorrow on an iPhone I have at work I can test with.
This is promising at least.

Nov 16, 2015 5:54 PM in response to ktorsterby CameraLaw,OMG, ktorster,
Can it really be that simple? I just went to my Apple ID and turned off two-step verification. Logged out of my son’s ID and back into mine. Didn’t work at first, but after a reset everything began to go well on my iPhone 6S Plus (running the version I got busted for mentioning):
1. App Store working correctly and recognizing my purchases.
2. Apple Music working correctly (including iCloud Music Library / iTunes Match).
3. Pandora works.
4. Frozen Free Fall works.
5. My car, an Acura TLX, now recognizes the iPhone (used to say “Unsupported”).
Have some iPads but won’t mess with them for now until after I see whether this fix holds and starts working for a substantial number of people on this thread.
Hope we are getting close to a green checkmark. I’ve almost got a smile on my face.

Nov 16, 2015 6:08 PM in response to CameraLawby Gcubed81,I Don't ha two step verification turned on and never did. So this won't work for me
-
Nov 16, 2015 6:40 PM in response to Gcubed81by ktorster,That's the point. I don't have it turned on either, but on Apple's side it is somehow showing it is. May be some sort of server discrepancy.

Nov 16, 2015 7:19 PM in response to CameraLawby devob,I had two-step verification enabled. I disabled it, hard reset my iPhone 5 with 9.1 installed and logged into my Apple ID. Everything is working pretty slick right now, we'll see if it stays that way...

Nov 16, 2015 9:30 PM in response to devobby devob,Nope, disabling two-step verification didn't make a difference. After a few hours, everything having to do with my Apple ID is back to where it was since the 9.1 upgrade - broken.
