Oct 31, 2015 7:55 PM in response to HansTnTby ktorster,I don't think this is a phone issue but an Apple ID issue.
I have had this problem across 4 different devices.

Oct 31, 2015 9:22 PM in response to ktorsterby Jackleg23,Technically it's an iTunes & App Store account issue connected to iOS 9.1. Your Apple ID is actually connected to 2 seperate accounts: iCloud, iTunes & AppStore (which Apple Music is connected to); and the iCloud account is completely unaffected by this bug.

Oct 31, 2015 9:57 PM in response to ktorsterby HansTnT,You are correct I have the same issue on my iPad running 9.1. Just singled out the iPhone since it's the most used Apple product. This will change when the iPad pro is released.

Oct 31, 2015 10:05 PM in response to Drashad86by HansTnT,Per a senior App Store advisor Apple is working on this issue.. So far the 9.2 beta 1 release still has this issue. I would be hesitant to install 9.2 GM when its released unless Apple addresses the issue directly.

Nov 1, 2015 12:04 PM in response to Drashad86by devob,Just confirming this was my exact experience after upgrading my brand new iPhone 6s to iOS last week. iCloud services were unaffected, but everything associated with my Apple ID was at best unreliable and at worst, unusable. Here's a list of the symptoms I compiled as I spent three days troubleshooting my iPhone:
- Touch ID setting for App Store Settings doesn't work
- App updates stuck - won't download until after hard reset
- Music won't download / stream until after hard reset
- App Store upgrade list is incorrect / changes / empty
- Unable to sign into the App Store after signing out. Can only sign in after hard reset.
- Can't view Apple ID from iTunes & App Stores settings
- Sync won't stop on iPhone even when iTunes sync (via cable) is complete, then iTunes is unable to begin another sync
- Apple ID in iTunes & App Stores settings is greyed out - unable to sign out
- Can sign in to FaceTime and Messages with my Apple ID, but cannot with Music app
- Show Apple Music option is missing from Music settings
Some of these symptoms would come and go, usually improving after a hard reset, but reappear soon after. Very frustrating. They didn't resolve when I wiped my iPhone clean and restored as a new phone, so I know it wasn't bugs carried over from an old backup. I finally restored my 6s to iOS 9.0.2 and everything worked as it should. I'm keeping it that way until I know otherwise.
Just for giggles I've wiped and restored my old iPhone 5 to iOS 9.1 as a test dummy. It's not quite as bad as my 6s was, but anything associated with my Apple ID is quirky and unreliable. This is the first time I've had such major issues with an OS update - Mac or iOS. Can't believe this got through unnoticed and then released.

This is beyond frustrating.

Nov 1, 2015 12:38 PM in response to Drashad86by coralbell,I am having issues with updating Apps after updating to 9.1 on my iPhone 6 Plus. The Apps are identified as Pending. I decided to erase one to see if I could re-download. Nope wouldn't let me. I shut my iPhone off and tried again to no avail. I logged out and in of iTunes store. I hope they fix things soon!!

Nov 1, 2015 12:45 PM in response to Drashad86by pinkoos,I wonder if there is a particular method of upgrading to 9.1 that creates the issue. That is, did you upgrade OTA or via iTunes?
I had upgraded OTA after which my problems started.
How about everyone else?

Nov 1, 2015 1:03 PM in response to pinkoosby devob,All my updates and downgrades were done connected to iTunes via Lightning cable. None via OTA.

Nov 1, 2015 1:42 PM in response to devobby John Bergmayer,Thanks devob for that summary. I am experiencing all of those same issues. I would only add that music often gives me the "Join Apple Music " message and that radio won't load at all--and, in what seems like it should not be connected at all, when my phone is in this state and only then, tapping on links in email doesn't work.

Nov 1, 2015 2:38 PM in response to pinkoosby pinkoos,So I haven't had a chance up until now to describe the latest with what's going on with my phone.
So, I had a ticket with AppleCare regarding all these issues and had described to them all that I had done in an effort to not have to wipe and restore.
I was actually connected to a tech who basically told me to try two more things and if those didn't work, then the next step would be to just replace the iPhone 6s under warranty for an assumed hardware defect, though it was very unlikely that it was hardware. Regardless, she agreed that was the only other option to try if nothing else worked.
She had me log out of and then back into iCloud - that didn't resolve the issue.
She then had me wipe and restore to 9.1 - that also didn't resolve the issue.
So, b/c of my work schedule, etc., I had them set up an Express Overnight replacement for the 6s under AppleCare warranty.
So I received the iPhone on Friday. I was happy to find out that it was still at 9.0.2 but unhappy to learn that Apple stopped signing 9.0.2 that same day.
So, if I were to upgrade the new phone to 9.1 to see if my problem was magically gone, I would no longer be able to go back to 9.0.2 if the problem was still there.
Thus, I ended up just backing up my old iPhone (which I had downgraded to 9.0.2 and in which everything was working except for the Health and Apple Watch issues that I believe I've either posted in this thread or another thread) and then restoring the new phone with my backup.
Of course, the new phone was working fine b/c it was still at 9.0.2 though, again, my Health/Apple Watch issues remained.
What I then realized is that I still have my old iPhone around to test (I have to send it back to Apple within 10 days to avoid an $800 non-return fee).
So, what I did was upgrade my old iPhone to 9.1 via iTunes. I did this on Saturday.
Surprisingly, not only did all the issues go away, but all my Health data that I had accumulated since the launch of the Apple Watch magically came back. I was not able to test the Apple Watch issues (sync issues) b/c I had already unpaired it from the old phone and paired it to the new phone and I wasn't about to go through the whole process again (those of you with Apple Watches know how dog slow this process is).
Anyway, this was on Saturday and as of right now (Sunday evening), the old iPhone is going strong under 9.1. Granted, I'm not using that phone constantly b/c I've already started using the replacement phone. But, I test the App Store and Apple Music every few hours and it's working fine. I don't know if I used it as my daily phone what would happen.
Now, the new problem that has been created is that the replacement phone they sent me is locked. It was supposed to be unlocked b/c the 6s it was replacing was unlocked (I bought it via the iPhone Upgrade Program). So, a new ticket was created with AppleCare for their network engineers to get the replacement iPhone unlocked.
The problem is going to be that when I get notified by the CSR that the unlock is done, the only way to verify the unlock is to wipe and restore via iTunes. And, since 9.0.2 is no longer being signed by Apple, I will be forced to go with 9.1.
That is going to be my dilemma.

Nov 1, 2015 3:15 PM in response to pinkoosby ktorster,I tried both OTA and through iTunes. Didn't make a difference for me.

Nov 1, 2015 5:13 PM in response to Drashad86by Jackleg23,Just for reference, I know a few people who've updated their iPhones OTA to 9.1 and havent encountered this problem. Seems pretty rare but that makes it suck all the more.

Nov 1, 2015 6:30 PM in response to Jackleg23by devob,Well, as I noted - both my old iPhone 5 and the 6s I upgraded to are having identical issues. What's that say? Basically both my phones would be hosed on 9.1 if I hadn't downgraded my 6s in time...

Nov 2, 2015 6:00 AM in response to pinkoosby Gcubed81,I was able to downgrade to 9.02 before apple stopped signing it. I am not having problems like I did but Apple music isn't letting me like songs and when I did a hard restart my apps all greyd out one time and I had to re sync. But I'm dealing with it cause I couldn't do many things with the 9.1 or beta upgrades. Its like its a weird apple id thing.
