Nov 3, 2015 10:05 AM in response to Jackleg23by pinkoos,Wow, that is very discouraging.
I thought maybe that could have been the only saving grace, but I guess not.

Nov 3, 2015 10:07 AM in response to pinkoosby Gcubed81,Yes I did it all the only thing that helped was downgrading to 9.02 but apple stopped signing it.

Nov 3, 2015 10:56 AM in response to Drashad86by OldHorn666,Okay, this issue seems to be same I had with 8.4.1, if I remember correctly. Downloaded iOS 9.1 last week against better judgment, and now nothing works. App Store, iTunes, can't download anything. Can't open links in emails. Games, that need online, won't work. This is excatly the same problem I had with 8.4.1 and had to install iOS 9 beta to get things to work. I'm ****** right now. And no, nothing helps.

Nov 3, 2015 10:11 PM in response to Drashad86by Adnan_Z_Manjal,Everyone agrees that restoring the device as new wouldn't work.
Another thing is this basically only affects iOS devices, not OS (Mac) or Apple TV.It seems t be something of an Apple server problem, a mixture or Apple ID ( with App Store, Apple Music, iTunes) and perhaps iCloud for some unfortunate users.
It's a hopeless situation now.
Unless a technical miracle happens, we gotta wait and see what the official iOS 9.2 update does.

Nov 4, 2015 6:30 AM in response to Drashad86by HansTnT,Found a temporary workaround to re enable cloud connectivity/ updates. It's not ideal but it works and you won't lose your past purchases. Follow the steps below. Note you will need a secondary email address that isn't tied to your Apple account.
1) Go to AppleID and create a new Apple account then verify this account via email.
2) On your device go to iCloud family sharing and enable this account as a family member with all privileges
3) Validate this family member via the verification email
4) Now you can use this new Apple account for itunes downloads, updates and Apple Music (note all your previous purchases will show as free download)
5) Sigining into Game Center with your old Apple account will sync all your game saves on the new Apple account
6) Voila! It's not simple but it works.
Hopefully Apple fixes this issue in the next update or we may all be going to new Apple accounts. I think this only happend to certain Apple IDS. Not sure if it was linked to iCloud backups or family sharing since I had both enabled when I did the update. We are definitely certain it is a Apple ID &9.1 corrupted connection to apple's iCloud. Just not sure what's the common denominator.
Note if you go to the Apple Store please show this thread and maybe we can get this error escalated!
Good luck!

Nov 4, 2015 6:39 AM in response to HansTnTby pinkoos,Interesting. You bring up a good point about Family Sharing.
I wonder how many of us to whom this has happened have Family Sharing turned on?
I do.
After I got bitten by the bug, I made sure that my wife and two sons DID NOT update their devices to 9.1.
I showed them exactly how to dismiss the prompt to upgrade and how to NOT allow the new overnight update feature that Apple implemented.
If others care to reply whether they do or don't have Family Sharing enabled, maybe we can see if that is the common denominator.
Thanks.

Nov 4, 2015 7:03 AM in response to pinkoosby OldHorn666,I've never had Family Sharing enabled, so that can't be the problem, right?

Nov 4, 2015 7:18 AM in response to pinkoosby Gcubed81,I had it on one time than my wife cancelled it. I don't think its that. But it does still say on some things its turned on for me but I don't really think it is. My wife didn't get this bug either. What is annoying though is even though I'm having less problems with 9.02 apple music started not working for me at all. iTunes match doesn't work and I can't heart a song. Also it took all my hearts away from all the songs I did in the last three months another frustration. This could be because of all the recovery stuff but I would think apple music used iCloud so it should always go with you.

Nov 4, 2015 8:52 AM in response to HansTnTby m.bagnasacco,Thanks for the temporary solution. Hope Apple is monitoring this thread and this could help coders to find a "clean" fix.
I do have family sharing enabled but actually only use it for calendars etc... on Mac because other family member is stuck on iOS 7 on iPhone4

Nov 4, 2015 10:24 AM in response to Drashad86by pinkoos,From a different thread, here's something to try to see if it helps:
Briefly, make an encrypted backup to iTunes. Then wipe your phone and set it up as new. Log into iCloud, Apple Music, App Store, iTunes Store, etc. Once you're all logged into those services, play around with them to see if they work or not. Regardless of whether they work or not, proceed to restore from your encrypted backup (DO NOT wipe your phone before this step - you are restoring from your backup ON TOP of the "new" iPhone you just created and logged into).
See what happens and if issues get resolved or not.

Nov 4, 2015 11:20 AM in response to Drashad86by Zubcut80,Apple Music not working on iPhone 6 after iOS 9.1
The people posting on that thread are having the exact same problems. Their fixes don't last either. It's a big Apple ID bug that obviously affects only a tiny percentage of people on iOS 9.1. If it was widespread there would be a huge outrage all over the internet. (It would probably be fixed by now too.)

Nov 4, 2015 11:23 AM in response to pinkoosby devob,I've never enabled Family Sharing or iCloud backup, so those aren't related to this bug.
