Oct 23, 2015 1:32 PM in response to eggibbs123by LarryHN,★HelpfulWhat version of iphoto do you have? The exact directions change with different versions. In general You select the cover when you start - to change duplicate the book project (in case something goes wrong) and in the copy click on change Theme (this may be different depending ont eh undisclosed version) and select the same theme with the cover and size you now want - preview it -- Preview a print project in Photos, iPhoto, or Aperture to avoid issues - Apple Support -- in case things changes and order

Oct 23, 2015 1:55 PM in response to LarryHNby eggibbs123,So, I duplicated the book and changed the theme. The only problem now is that it is a blank book with none of my things showing in it. Since I have 82 pages, complete with photos and text, it would be a big job to start over. Any other quick way to do it?
Thanks

Oct 24, 2015 7:21 AM in response to eggibbs123by Old Toad,★HelpfulDid the book that you changed the theme on display the photos in the pages correctly before you changed the theme?
If so try the following;
1 - delete the blank book.
2 - duplicate the original book again.
3 - repair the library as follows:
1 - launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down to open the First Aid window. Be sure to follow the circled recommendation in the screenshot.
2 - apply Option #4, Rebuild Database.
4 - change the theme on the duplicate book again.

Oct 24, 2015 7:34 AM in response to Old Toadby eggibbs123,Good morning, Old Toad,
Thanks for thinking about my problem.
Yes, my original copy of the book has all the photos and text in the right place.
I followed your suggestions and have duplicated the original book and changed the text and indicated I wanted to buy a hardback copy.
When I looked at the book, all the fonts are changed on the text pages. The other fonts look correct, as do the photos and the placement of the photos.
I tried to see if I could order a hardcopy; however, the message I received said I need to change the fonts first. Other ideas?
Thanks, again,
Eva Gayle

Oct 24, 2015 8:43 AM in response to eggibbs123by Old Toad,When you change formats often the text layout are not the same as well as the font. That's why it's important to make a copy of the book so you can copy and past text from one book to the other if need be.
What theme are you using and what font does the theme use and what are you using?

Oct 24, 2015 9:03 AM in response to Old Toadby eggibbs123,Thanks, Old Toad,
I'm using the tropical theme, and I selected Palatino. I also selected black instead of the pale blue suggested in the theme.
So, it should be easy to copy and paste the text. I'll do that if you can tell me how to have both versions open at the same time. Otherwise, I can just manually change the new version. By the way, I have a copy of the original book on my desk.
Thanks, again,
Eva Gayle

Nov 4, 2015 11:14 AM in response to Old Toadby eggibbs123,Thanks for all the help.
I have created a book with Tropical Vacation Theme, and I changed the font to Palatino. When I ordered the book, it arrived with Palatino everywhere, except for the spine. The original font is used on the spine. Do you know how to change that font on the spine so that it matches the ones throughout the book?
Thanks,

I don't. I have iPhoto 9.6.1 and it's pdf file does not include the full dust jacket page like earlier versions of iPhoto did where you could check the spline text and font. All we have now is the front cover title with might be used for the spline.

Nov 4, 2015 4:25 PM in response to Old Toadby eggibbs123,And I have iPhoto 11. It also does not show the spine text and font. So, I wasn't aware that it would be different than the front cover title, which is still in Palatino.
