    He's correct. It stopped working at Mavericks. Compressor 3.5 and Motion 4 both stopped working...only the newer versions work.  Final Cut Studio, that Compressor/Qmaster you have was bundled with...was last updated 5 years ago...when OS 10.6.8 was out. It was discontinued 4.5 years ago.That's the last OS officially supported....every subsequent OS moves further away from supporting the old apps. So if you want them to work...you need to stick to the old OS.
