Apple display monitor and MacBook Pro mid 2012

What kind of HDMI cable do I need to connect my (old but working well) Apple Cinema Display to my MacBook Pro mid 2012 so I can mirror the display from my computer or extend it.

What model display? Plastic or Aluminium? What king of display connecter? What size display?

20 inch screen. The manual says it needs a powerbook with a DVI port. Aluminum display. I hope that helps. The display is currently connected to MacbookPro early 2008 but the connector is to big (Not sure I used the right word for that.)

You can use a HDMI to DVI adapter

or a Mini DisplayPort to DVI adapter in a Thunderbolt port
