Q: Shake to find causing screen flicker

Anyone else experiencing screen flickering when using the 'shake to find' feature with El Capitan? Doesn't happen all the time, but seems to occur more often when using the feature several times in succession.

MacBook Pro with Retina display, OS X El Capitan (10.11.1), 15-inch, Mid 2014

    Hi there camstryker,

If I understand correctly you are wiggling the cursor to find it, and after a doing it a few times your screen seems to flicker or flash. I would use these steps about troubleshooting graphical issues with a built in display on your Mac:

    Reset the system

You can reset the Mac's parameter RAM and SMC.

    1. Start up in Safe Mode.
    2. From the Apple () menu, choose System Preferences.
    3. Choose Displays from the View menu to open the preferences pane.
    4. Select any resolution and refresh rate that your display supports.
    5. Restart your computer.
