If you are having issues with Keynot becoming unresponsive when you try to add a photo from the camera roll to a presentation on your iPad, you may want to try some things to troubleshoot.
First, quit all running applications and test again -
Next, I would try restarting the iPad -
Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Oct 25, 2015 8:40 AM in response to Brett Lby Music Doctor,Thank you for your reply. I had hoped that I had left enough of a kernel there to signify that I am pretty familiar with this technology (I teach seminars across the country to fellow music educators).
Closing all apps, rebooting, and even hard rebooting are standard processes that I would follow before attempting to delere and reinstall an app.
Let me state this clearly: Keynote "hangs" and then become unresponsive when I add a photo. Everything else seems to work. It is a probl with Keynote and there is no way to let Apple directly know it is happening.
THank you again for taking the time to respond.

Oct 25, 2015 11:32 AM in response to Music Doctorby Brett L,Good day Music Doctor,
Thank you for the additional information, I do appreciate the troubleshooting you have done. Since you have already tried quitting all applications and restarting your iPad with no better result, my next suggestions would be to back up your iPad, erase it and set up as a new device, reinstall only Keynote, add a picture to your camera roll, and attempt to reproduce your issue.
This article describes how to back up your iPad's data, using either iTunes or iCloud - About backups in iCloud and iTunes.
This article will tell you how to erase the iPad and set it up as a new device - How to erase your iOS device and then set it up as a new device or restore it from backups.
Note - I imagine you are already familiar with the above articles. I insert the links so that other users who see this thread can find them easily.

Oct 25, 2015 2:06 PM in response to Brett Lby Music Doctor,How about a less damaging solution? I have also tried adding a picture on Keynote on my iPhone 6S. Same result: Keynote freezes and crashes.
Please, without making me completely erase my iPad, how about finding a way to let Apple know that adding a photo in Keynote causes the app to crash?
How does an end user get this addressed?
Thanks!
Chris Russell
