Running Windows 7 SP1 x64 Home Premium. Downloaded iCloud 5 for Windows which failed to install due to missing Microsoft Media Feature Pack for Windows.
Why does iCloud need Microsoft's Media Pack ?
Didn't have a problem when installing iCloud 4.

Never had Media Player installed before. What has changed ?
Installing media player crashed.
I had WMP removed from my machine as well. But apparently icloud v5 requires it to be installed. I have no idea what has changed, I fixed this with a lucky guess by installing the WMP.
