Q: Signin in problem on iCloud for Windows

Hi, I have a problem. I just downloaded iCloud for Windows (I have Win10), but when I'm trying to sign in it says : "This action could not be completed. Try again.". I'm 100% sure AppleID and password are correct because on iCloud.com it works.

Acer Aspire E1-570G, Windows 10, Thanks!

    Same problem here "This action could not be completed. Try again."; strange. New laptop, existing icloud account.

    Any ideas?

    The resolution is to run first time icloud setup as an administrator;

    On Windows 7 enterprise, start, right mouse click icloud, run as administrator. Now login in to icloud.

    The icloud control panel now shows up, with checkboxes to switch on Icloud photo, Mail contacts calendar, etc.

    It took a few tries to get through the outlook settings setup - even a fresh restart, as also in this part of the setup, it's apparently very sensitive. This is possibly caused by admin rights inconsistencies.

    Ultimately it worked and icloud addin is now available in my Outlook 2010, with for example full use of personal, shared calendars on other devices and apple ID's.

    I suspect that the main reason that so few discussions/forums can be found on this issue, is that I have a windows 7 enterprise Lenovo laptop with full local admin rights, which may not be common. Regular company policies prohibit non-local admin right users to install icloud.

    I got this from another post. Close iCloud. Go to All Apps and find iCloud. Right-click/More/Run as Administrator. Worked for me.
