Left/right mirrored page numbers
I'm sorry to re-open an archived topic, but I, too, want to have page numbers at top left and top right on successive pages of a text document. Peggy's reply to a previous questioner was 'Go to Format > Section & check the boxes next to Left & Right are Different & Mirror on Facing Pages'. But where do I put the page numbers? If I put it in a header at (say) the left, that seems to be unaffected by Peggy's instruction on the next page: the next page number still appears on the left.
Should I insert a section break? Where? Should I then use section numbering rather than page numbering? I had already tried every combination of settings that I could think of before consulting the Apple Discussions, and am still no wiser!
