under no circumstances can I get iCloud backups to work on one of my iPhone 6 Plus phones. I've followed all steps posted about turning off backups, deleting backups, charging overnight on wifi (do this daily). I have 800GB free in iCloud, space is not the issue.

Tried everything to get this to work and no luck for me also. Giving up and will just backup on my laptop.
THis is frustrating,,,, is apple going to solve it!!
there is no link in the iCloud area to 'force' a back up.
???

I have had the backup issue for close to a month. Finally solved it by going into General > Storage & iCloud Storage > iCloud Manage storage > iPhone > turned off every app's backup option. It was tedious but the 5 minutes it took versus the 4 weeks of trying to solve this was OK with me. I was then able to delete the backup (that was never really there in the first place), and now able to backup via iCloud option again.
