Q: Boot Camp Assistant

Hi Fellows,

I am really stuck in worst situation. I will upload images and write description below it so you can understand and assist me...

I want to install Windows 7 in my MAC and my current version is this...

Check screenshot regarding about my MAC...

Now when I opened boot camp assistant I got this on my screen which is wrong, because window 7 check box is invisible, which will be above the check box of download latest windows support software...

Here you can see...

So I followed but I can't edit info.plist file, so I want the reason and solution for this so please I will attach three more screenshots in which you can see what kind of error I got when I try to change permission of this file...

Yes, I entered password in both places...

Yes, DVD was in Optical drive and only one checkbox is enabled...

I created DVD through windows cd/dvd burner which is built in windows 10...

And also I want to share this popup as well and here you can see enabled checkbox...

This is a different issue.

Can you post the output of

diskutil list
diskutil cs list

from OS X Terminal?

Project HD is causing problems. On your Mac, there is a limit of 4 entries. You already have 4, so a fifth Bootcamp one cannot be created. Also BCA will usually reduce OS X disk by the amount being given to Windows, so you need to be careful with the available space.

You can back up the Projects HD and then erase it. Because it is after Recovery HD, you will need to use Time Machine to backup, erase, restore your internal HD after you remove Project HD, so your Mac has the correct configuration to allow a Windows installation.

1. Backup OSX and Project HD - Use Time Machine to back up or restore your Mac - Apple Support.
2. Boot into Internet Recovery - OS X: About OS X Recovery - Apple Support.
3. Restore only OS X part - Use Time Machine to back up or restore your Mac - Apple Support
4. Install Windows - How to install Windows using Boot Camp - Apple Support .

You do not want to set up a new TC or a Time Machine. Click on Options and add Project HD to the list to be backed up and click on Backup Now.

If you are not excluding Project HD, it should be included in your backup. Check in 'Enter Time Machine'.
