Time Machine Buddy - is it safe ?
OS X 10.10.5 - 2.8 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo

My Time Machine has been failing to back-up.
One suggestion is to run Time Machine Buddy BUT my system says "this can't be opened because it is from an unidentified developer" and my preferences don't allow this (nor do I want to change them).
Why is this when I thought it was an Apple product, and is Time Machine Buddy safe ?
