Apple Music songs gone after logging out

I logged out of my Apple ID on my iPhone 6 and when I logged back in all my music from Apple Music was gone. They were all available offline and now my library is empty. I tried to go to Settings > Music and turn iCloud music library on, since most people who have had that problem seem to have solved it that way, but it made no difference for me. It seems to be really gone because when I check my storage there a lot more available than it should be.

If there is an apple way here i'd be glad to be enlightened by any Apple apologist. All I see with offline songs is a piece of mess. And I'm not alone check this forum or the web.

In my opiniin it's worse than the start of mobileMe. And if you remember how infuriated steve was when they messd up mobileMe all I can hope for that they don't need him to understand when they made some real mistakes.

It seems to me as if making songs available offline was more of an afterthought. Signing out and signing back in with your store account kills you offline library, over time apple music seems to delete your offline copies, songs new to offline playlists need to be downloaded manually and you never really know if your songs are available offline or not unless toggling offline songs only and checking each song individually.

They seem to have put a lot of effort in fancy stuff and forgot about the basics. I'm really frustrated with apple and think about switching to spotify. Before all that apple music thing I was old school iTunes Store buyer only. Maybe all apple music has done to me was making me leave apple as my main music provider.

That's crazy. I'm sorry for you. What does iTunes on your Mac look like. Are the songs still there. If they are, it seems your iPhone doesn't load the icloud music library. Then I would suggest the following steps

0) make sure your online via wifi or on cellular network all the time!

1) deactivate icloud music library,

2) sign out of your store account,

3) switch off the the iphone,

4) switch it on again,

5) signing in with your store account,

6) reactivate icloud music library

7) wait a few minutes

8) check apple music again

9) go to sleep

10) check the next day again

Disclaimer: The whole process is my suggestion. I haven't seen your problem before.

Hope you're finished by step 8)

I had the very same experience and that was only the nice part of the whole story.

iPhone 6 plus, 128G - iOS 9.1 - Paying for Apple Music subscription.

I had to log off in order to load in MY phone a number of MY tracks which do not exists on Apple Music (some mixes and music for my daughter). Then I logged back and found iCloud Library set to off (it was on before) and all the library was gone.

All right:

- set iCloud library to ON again and started to download all the tracks again - and that's fine,

- two playlist of my favorites were empty - and that's fine,

I was on wifi and before leaving home I set Setting > Music > Use Mobile Data to OFF

Then I left home and after 10 minutes I received a text message from the carrier saying that my monthly data traffic was near to be consumed:

- Music app was downloading, double checked the Use Mobile Data setting (still OFF) and killed the app

- after 5 minutes another text from the carrier said all the traffic and credit was gone!

So, on Sunday and far from any kind of place with a wifi and without the possibility to pay for additional credit (no data connection...) I had to wait my return to home.

Back home finally:

- the download started again, but from the scratch!

- the two playlist are still lost

- still struggling to get additional traffic (I need to upgrade to my sim and pay more)

Thank you Apple Music! Really nice graphics and contents but you've missed all the basics. You're still far from the high level standards all Apple users were used to experience in the past.

I'm sadly forced to go back to Spotify.

Hello All, just had this problem too. I logged out of my account on my MacBook Pro, logged in and Apple Music downloads no longer showed up in my library (though they were in my iTunes folder stored on the computer). I stumbled upon the fix, so go to iTunes>Preferences>General. Check to make sure iCloud Music Library is checked. Mine was unchecked after logging in again so I checked it and within seconds my Apple Music adds showed up again.
