Where are my GoodReader files stored?

I'm using an iPad Air with GoodReader. I add PDFs and other documents into the app through iTunes on my computer. My question is, when I Add a document, does it store a copy somewhere on my computer's hard drive? For example, if I have music on my desktop and I 'add to library', it moves/copies the file into my Music>iTunes>iTunes Media>Music folder. Does it do the same thing with documents I add to GoodReader? Trying to figure out if I should delete the document from the downloads folder (for example) so there aren't duplicates, but I can't find a folder with the GR documents.

Thanks in advance for the help!

You should be able to copy them back in a similar way that you added them to your iPad, on the file sharing screen the documents that you have in the app should be listed, selecting one or more of them should make the 'save to' button (next to the 'add' button that you used to add them to the iPad) below the list of documents active so that you can save them to your computer
