Q: Apple Music not working on iPhone 6 after iOS 9.1

I foolishly updated both iPhone 6 and iPad Mini with the new iOS 9.1 on the day of release, and spent all day yesterday trying to make Apple Music work. around 11pm, it finally worked on my iPad after login/signing on and off for a few hours, today it shows everything fine, but don't play anything. After communicating with Apple Music Help on Twitter I decided to re-install it all on the iPhone 6, hours of the signing on and off frozen, Apple Music on the phone shows For You, New and Connect OK, but won't play, Radio doesn't load at all and My Music is empty, not linking to my Music Match on ICloud. Now (Saturday 16:26), I can only listen to my music and Beats 1 from my main MacBook Pro... I definitely think this iOS 9.1 is a massive mistake. I am trying to reset my iPhone from scratch as I type this, backing it up from the Cloud from 3 days ago, but I launched this 1 hour ago and it still does nothing.... Not very convenient to do the Beats Run tomorrow if I need to png in my laptop in a rucksack as no small device is usable.

MacBookPro, Mac OS X (10.6.2)

Just thought I would add my voice to this. I had the music problem on my 5s running 8.4.1 and then on Saturday after not changing anything on my 6s it started again. Apple music works on my Mac Air and iMac and even my iPad mini 3, but not my iPhone 6s or my iPad Air. Contacted Apple support and got nowhere, went into my local Apple store in Liverpool and they said a number of staff there had the same problem, but they did not have a fix. I don't know what is going on at Apple over the last few months but they do seem to be releasing a lot of buggy software. If it is not sorted by the next update then I will cancel it as I am not paying for something that won't work across all devices.

    Hi Smlo and guys,

Ive experencing the same issue since 26th Oct and nothing happens. I have an iPhone 6.

So, I decided to make a new Apple ID, restore my device at all and start from zero. And, EUREKA.

    Everything is working perfectly:

    - Apple Music with all my songs and streaming new songs is ok - and i can listen off-line musics, playlists (3 months/free trial in this new ID).

    - iCloud Library: FINALLY GOOD!

    - Download and Refresh new/old apps are ok too

    - Links and e-mails working good

All this on 9.1 with new Apple ID from @icloud.com and everything is fine in my Macbook Pro as well.

So, i think that my older Apple ID at gmail was corrupted and i know: this is most diffcult to repair. Maybe the migration to another Apple ID can resolve this issues and make your iPhone normal again. The solution, for now. If the issues persists or comeback, i back here and relate for you.

    >> Im sorry my english typo and mistakes, i dont speak english :X

A new ID may work but many of us will lose ready access thousands of dollars of apps, movies, tv shows, books, and music. That really *****. And you can't say an ID is corrupted if it can sign into iCloud, be used for email, and work on iMacs and pre-9.1 operating systems. I was busted by the administrators for writing about my public beta experience, but I'm still on this forum to seek an answer for the released iOS.

Third trip to Apple Store. Got a new phone with 8.4. Seems to have fixed the 9.1 issues, but now it will no longer pair with my watch. So, I'm thinking that a class action suit is our next best bet.

My Apple ID is a gmail address too. My sister's Apple ID is a gmail account but she doesn't appear to be dealing with our issues, but we may be on to something...

Anyone use iTunes Match in addition to Apple Music?

I use Match but I really think we're grasping at straws here. I'm sure Apple's thought of all this in their testing. However, I do wonder if mine was related to restoring from backup over iCloud. That's when I first noticed this app install issue on 8.4 or 9.0.

Update: Monday, I got a new IPhone 6, running on IOS 8.4.1: set it as new with my Apple ID, at first Apple Music was not saving new tracks, I turned off ITunes Match & Apple Music once, then back on, it re-loaded my library,  since then Apple Music has been behaving perfectly. Not a single problem since.

My IPad Mini who is unfortunately on IOS 9.1, worked perfectly last week since last Monday night, then stopped all day Sunday, then back to normal this Monday for 4 hours, fine yesterday all day, today not working.... IOS 9.1 IS the issue. The Apple ID works perfectly on anything that is NOT running on IOS 9.1.

Now my quickest way to check the status: if Hyperlinks don't load in emails I know that  Radio in Apple Music won't work either. Once hyperlinks in emails are loading, Apple Music is perfect....
