Oct 24, 2015 8:53 AM in response to ladysylvesterby babowa,It will always be listed in your Purchases because a) you did 'purchase' it, and b) you may need to download it at some point in the future. As for your current paused download, frankly, I do not know how to cancel that. Unless someone else knows how, I would just let the download finish and then, rather than install it, quit the installer window once the download is done. Then go into your Applications folder and move the installer to your trash and empty it. Or, you can first move a copy to a safe place to have it if needed and then trash the original.

Oct 24, 2015 11:14 AM in response to ladysylvesterby John Galt,The easiest way to find the partially downloaded file so you can delete it is to use Launchpad: Mac Basics: Launchpad is the fast way to find and open your apps - Apple Support.
Click and hold the icon until it "shakes" then press the X. Confirm the dialog box that appears next. That's it.
