I tried to update an old Ipad 2 to IOS through Itunes and it has frozen. Can anybody help?.

I tried to update an Ipad 2 to IOS through Itunes.
I has frozen with the ITunes logo in the middle of the screen also showing the USB cable.
Can anyone help?
