- Try resetting the SMC
Intel-based Macs: Resetting the System Management Controller (SMC)
- Install temp and fan speed monitoring app that allows specifying the fan speed. I use Mac Fan Control.
See if temps change. Maybe a bad sensor.
- Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store. Diagnostics are free.
