Learn about Turn on the menu bar in iTunes for WindowsQ: I opened my iTunes library & received a prompt that there's a new version of iTunes 12.1.3 & I clicked on yes to download ... I opened my iTunes library & received a prompt that there's a new version of iTunes 12.1.3 & I clicked on yes to download the new version but it took me to the iTunes Store. If I download & install the new version will it erase my existing library? more

Unless you've got really good reasons for doing otherwise you should accept the default installation location:
- for a 32-bit edition of Windows, or the full 64-bit version of iTunes on a 64-bit edition of Windows this is C:\Program Files\iTunes
- for the "for older video cards" version of iTunes (32-bit application) on a 64-bit edition of Windows this is C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes
