I think this has happened after updating software on the ipad. I went to do more work on this document and it was gone. Can't get into the document file on it either. I have tried resetting the device, and restarting it. I have lost months of work! Hope someone can help.

Hopefully you can restore from a backup > Restore your device from an iCloud or iTunes backup
No can do. Nothing shows up when I plug into itunes in the app section and it will only restore contacts calendars and mail e.t.c
Might the document have been stored in iCloud?
You can always try using a browser to go to http://www.icloud.com and open iCloud Drive from there, then choose "Pages".
I have lost my documents in Pages any solutions?
