My friend is in Japan right now and he said iPhone 6 is cheap there. We are very interested in buying one but the problem is the phones are JAPAN locked. Will we still be able to use them here in the Philippines?
Probably not. Check with the cell provider and see if they will unlock them.
Thanks deggie. I'll ask my friend which provider is he buying from. But do you have any other info about this case? I mean have you ever heard someone successfully used iPhones from JAPAN being used in Philippines?
The last I heard none of the cell providers in Japan unlock phones and the only way to use them is via unapproved and sometimes illegal means. You would also have to return to Japan for any warranty service.
