Q: Home Sharing Not Working

    Same here, has been working fine for 4 years or so now, latest updates have killed it completely, it no longer works on any of my devices.

     

    Tried renaming the MBP thats running the share

    Tried renaming the library

    Logged out and back in again on every device multiple times in different orders etc etc

     

    My 3 ATV3 devices just say turn on home sharing on the machine sharing from

    Other MBP doesnt show the sharing option

    IPAD shows no shared video or music either.

     

    Done all the usual stuff rebooted router etc absolutley nothing.

     

    Both MBP are on El Capitan with all the latest updates, ATV are udpated also, IPAD is fully up to date.

     

    Any ideas ?

    Same problem here... Only  (temporary) solution i found for this is to disable and enable homesharing again on iMac. That works for me, for a while that is

    What worked for me is turning off my firewall. Then everything worked fine. Hope this helps.
