Using Magic trackpad/keyboard 2 with older iMac

I have an early 2009 iMac. I want to use the new Magic Trackpad and Keyboard (already use the older versions with the replaceable batteries) but I understand that a more modern version of bluetooth is needed.


My 'About This Mac' shows the following for bluetooth. Will the new kit work on my iMac?

If I understand correctly, you want to know if the Magic Trackpad 2 will work with your computer. I would recommend you read this article, it may be able to help troubleshoot the issue.
