Bootcamp partition disappears after upgrading Windows (I have read other topics)

Hi,

After I upgraded into Windows 10 from 8.1 pro within the Windows partition, the Bootcamp partition no longer shows up on El Capitan (in Finder and Startup disk in System Preferences), so I can't get access to the files in that partition. I have checked the Disk Utility and see that there is only my Macintosh HDD. However, when I click on the APPLE SSD SM0512F Media, I can still see the Bootcamp volume, and I can also boot into Windows when turning on my Macbook.

I contacted Apple Support, but their advice is helpless. I had a look on the similar questions here and followed to install gdisk. However, it seems that my situation is quite different since the MBR is protective, not hybrid, so I'm not sure how to properly proceed.User uploaded file

Can anyone help me on my problem? I really appreciate your help. Note that I also have Tuxera NTFS 2015 on the Macbook as well.

You have two NTFS drivers on the OS X side now. Apple's read-only NTFS driver and Taxer's read-write. They both race for it, whoever wins the race controls it.

This leads to ...

1. System Preferences issues - which are well documented by Tuxera.

2. It can lead to NTFS corruption, which can cause further issues, sometimes severe.

3. Tuxera needs to work with Apple, get their driver certified, so System Preferences will honor both systems. It is an expensive process, which the third-parties do not wish to pursue. NTFS-3g (2010) has a control panel, which allows selective control. You should ask Tuxera about it.

4. Remove Tuxera, if you want the Windows partition to show up in System Preferences.
