Q: download of el capital does not start, I had to kill the process?

Hallo,

I start from the AppStore and there from "install", below the rocket-symbol, that small line should show the progress. But I'm now waiting since hours. Has anybody an idea?

Finder > Application > Installer OS X El Capitan.app

Right click on the Installer OS X ElCapitan and “Move to Trash”.

Empty the Trash.

Launch App Store, click “Purchases” tab and download OS X El Capitan again.

Hi..I have the same problem (see above)…when you say 'purchases' tab does that mean that the upgrade is not free? is that why mine is now working? I didn't see any option to purchase the upgrade.

Where do I find "Application", does that mean (in German) "Gehe zu, go to resp."? And than Application means "Program",?
