Q: Why are Apple still downloading unwanted apps we cannot remove when they state they are working on a fix to get rid of the original ones..

WWhy are Apple downloading yet more unwanted apps we cannot remove when they say they are working on a fix for the original unwanted apps. Come on Apple that's what the App Store is for. Ian D

Apple is not reading here. Use the Feedback link:

    http://www.apple.com/feedback

I don't believe Apple has said they are "working on a fix" to remove installed apps as nothing is broken. Unless you think Apple made a programming error years ago and hasn't been able to figure out how to remove apps from their own software?

Put all the apps you're not interested in using in a folder and move it to the last page and forget about it.

    Meg,

Yup I have done that and am now getting quite a collection of useless artifacts I do not use.  The issue is not that they can't be hidden but that I don't want them. My phone my storage space, Apple could and should put them on the APP store site and let me/us choose what we want rather than being force fed.

    My phone my storage space,

The preinstalled apps use minimal storage space. Over the last few versions, Apple has decreased the amount of space iOS has taken up. And, while the phone may be yours, the software is Apple's.
