How can I verify my Apple ID if the email wasn't received and Resend button isn't working?

I can't use Find My Friends because my primary email isn't verified with my Apple ID. After going to https://appleid.apple.com/account/manage it says Verification email sent. After clicking "Resend", nothing happens. It acts like a dead link. How can I verify my Apple ID?
