Q: OSX 10.11.1: Problem with External HD Drives (not recognised at all or only in read only mode)
Hi, i have an iMac (21.5-inch, Late 2009), and i have installed recently the OSX 10.11.1.
After the installation whenever i try to connect an external hard disk either it is not recognised at all or i can access it only in read only mode.
Prior to the installation of the 10.11.1 version i did not encounter such a problem with the external disks i use.
The 2 external hard disks i currently use are: Seagate HD 1TB (Model: SRD00F1, S/N NA75JZ3L) & Toshiba 2TB (S/N 15MCTZWYTYP3).
I already checked and in Finder preferences menu the "external disks" option is selected.
I would appreciate if you can give me a hint ignorer to correct this problem.
Thank you in advance
iMac, Mac OS X (10.7.1)

Found the answer at seagate.
I understand your drives are not showing up in Finder after upgrading to El Capitan. No Seagate drive made in the last 15 years has required any software to detect on a Mac. However, it is possible that you are using the old version of the NTFS Paragon driver, used for adding write capability to the Mac for our NTFS drives. The old version is incompatible with El Capitan. Try uninstalling and reinstalling the NTFS driver, using the version on our website.
To uninstall the drive, click on Apple > System Preferences > Paragon NTFS for Mac OS X. Click the Info tab and select uninstall. Reboot the Mac. Then download and install the updated version from our website.
