Since my iPod classic died, I've been trying to connect my Macbook Pro to a Sony speaker set/docking system (model is RDP-x200IP) that is bluetooth enabled). No luck at all, it doesn't show up in system preferences. Any ideas?

Help with pairing Macbook Pro to Sony speaker dock?

MacBook Pro, OS X Yosemite (10.10.5)

Maybe? You have to go into System preferences, or at the top of the screen, and make your Macbook pro "discovereable" and turn bluetooth on. the speaker dock should show up, and it might ask for a PIN, or not. Click on "Pair" to pair it with your MacBook Pro. I paired my mom's new iphone with her Parrot bluetooth device and it was fine, apart from the PIN. I used 0000 and it seemed to work-don't ask me why, but it did...all lI know is that's it not automatic

good luck
