Oct 26, 2015 1:51 AM in response to stedman1by Peter Best1,I can pair my iPad with the MacBook Air. Why not the iPhone? Surely the bluetooth protocol isn't prissy about the devices it pairs? If they're both Apple devices and bluetooth is switched on they should be able to find each other shouldn't they?

Oct 26, 2015 12:33 PM in response to Peter Best1by sberman,AirDrop does not require the iOS device to pair to the Mac. It does require Bluetooth and WiFi be turned "on" on both devices.

Oct 26, 2015 2:07 PM in response to sbermanby Peter Best1,All my devices have bluetooth switched on. The iPhone is not visible on any other device. I wrongly assumed that meant it needed to be paired. What am I to assume now?
