Q: Extra HD appears on the Bootup Screen

I'm using Bootcamp and an extra HD [Recovery-10.10.3] is appearing on my OS selection screen. It appeared after the system upgraded to Yosemite. Anyway, there isn't an install disc in the drive so I'm curious as to why it appeared. This should only show up when initiated by using the install disc, no? Yes?

In any case I'd like to remove it or hide it if possible.

No.

Recovery partition should show up as bootable.

Recovery http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4718

You can see this in Terminal, copy and paste:

diskutil list

Thank you leroydouglas. Then what stops anyone from booting to it and changing my account password? Is there a way to hide it or make it inaccessible via a security measure of sorts?
