Interference using Keynote remote on Apple Watch

I've been using he Keynote Remote app on my Apple Watch to control Keynote on my iPhome 6S. This works great until I use it with a radio Mike when it keeps losing connection or just won't move on to the next slide. Is it likely that the radio mike could stop the Watch connecting with the iPhome.
