Q: Restore

Hey all.

I apologize first before I start if my description of the situation is a little vague, this is the first time I have asked submitted a question or support on an issue I am dealing with + I only got this ipod yesterday so I don't actually know any of the specs. Nevertheless, my partner gave me her Ipod Touch 5 32gb (Which as far as I know was in 8.4.1) when she went up to the Iphone, mostly so I had something to listen to music with when I was out or working ect ect. I reset it to make it blank and hooked it up to my computer (which is old and temperamental at best) and tried to use Itunes to update the iOS due to not having the wifi code directly on me at the time and figured it would just be easier this way. My computer froze and crashed during the update and when it finally reset itself and came back my ipod was well as far as I can see broken. I am unsure of how to fix the issue as I have followed steps I have been reading for the last two hours now.

Upon trying to turn on my ipod it gives the apple logo than goes straight to the connect to Itunes logo. Which I do and it says I need to update and restore which I click to do, a few minutes pass after it extracts and than a few more minutes pass before it pops up saying could not be restored and an error has occurred. (Errors generally being 4005 or 11) Yes, before someone wants to google that for me, I have looked up the errors and followed the steps they suggested to the best of my ability, I have searched for similar problems such as mine and tried their steps and that hasn't worked either. So I am sort of out of ideas at this point and wonder if there is anything else I can do or do I have to take it to an Apple store directly and get it fixed there?
