Q: mail account not working after upgrading to Capitan

I updated to the new OSX last week and went to use my mail app and i can't receive or send email.

Ive also updated my software today (which stated issues with Mail and Capitan OSX.

I was thinking of going back to my old OSX but i dont know how to do this.

Anyone else in the same boat?
