Why does it say PDF beneath

WWhen u open a PowerPoint slide in keynote and the printing menu appears. Below, where its states show or hide details, there is also a Box that says PDFs. What does that means. And also why is the printing orientation quite different

The print system on the Mac can generate PDF files from any application, so its a way of producing a PDF file.

The print orientation should reflect the slide set up, if it does not; change this in the drop down menu from Keynote, to Page Attributes
