Ipod Shuffle Still Orange Light, Wont Turn On & wont connect to Itunes

I haven't used my Ipod Shuffle in a few weeks, yesterday I plugged it in and noticed that the light would turn on when plugged in for a few seconds so I did the plug in and out trick until the light was stable. before school I made sure it was plugged in and the light was on. I got home yesterday to notice that the light was still orange so I figured it was really flat so I left it. it got home from school today and the light has not changed. I went to plug it into iTunes to do a reset and it will not connect. I tried to do a restart and nothing has changed. I have tried multiple USB ports and computers. The light is still not flashing. its 4th gen if that helps.
