Problem with icloud email synchronsing.

I have finally managed to get my icloud email address working again in Outlook after having to delete the old account and reinstall it. I had to do it manually because icloud refused to it properly and I kept getting asked for my password which I know was correct. Now Now icloud won't synchronise with the email account. It tells me, incorrectly, after ticking the box next to Mail, contacts, calendar etc that I don't have a default account associated with Outlook. I've checked |Outlook and I do have a default profile. What is going on? Why is Apple's email such a pain to set up in Outlook? The settings are not standard - it drives you mad.

Hey brookers14,
I understand that you are having issues with your iCloud account in Outlook. Let's see if we can get this sorted out.
I would first make sure that you are using the latest version of iCloud for Windows. It does bring compatibility to Windows 10 as well as syncing ability for iCloud Photo Library. If you are using Outlook 2016, then you will want to use iCloud.com to access your content. Take a look at the article below for more details.
Download iCloud for Windows
